Questions, answered clearly

A straightforward guide to early access, trust, payments, pricing, landlords, and joining as a tradesperson.

Getting started

What is Trady?

Trady is a trades platform being built to connect customers with vetted tradespeople for home repairs, maintenance, and improvements.

Is Trady live yet?

Trady is not fully live yet. We are building the early access list and opening area by area as vetted tradespeople become available.

How does early access work?

Join the priority list, tell us your area and the trade you are interested in, and we will contact you when Trady opens near you.

Payments & escrow

How does payment escrow work?

When you book a job through Trady, your payment is held by Stripe (our payment provider) — not by Trady — until you confirm the work is complete. We'll only release funds to the tradesperson once you've signed off on the job. If something goes wrong before then, you can open a dispute from your dashboard.

When does the tradesperson get paid?

The tradesperson gets paid once you confirm the job is complete. Payment is released from the Stripe-held funds — usually within 48 hours of your sign-off. If you don't sign off and no dispute is open, payment auto-releases after 7 days.

Cancellations

Can I cancel a booking?

Yes. Cancellation rules will be shown before you confirm a booking, including any timing windows or fees that may apply.

Vetting & trust

How are tradespeople vetted?

We check key information such as identity, right to work, relevant qualifications, insurance, and ongoing quality signals.

Are DBS checks required?

DBS checks are part of the trust process where appropriate for the type of work and customer setting.

Pricing

What does Trady charge?

Trady pricing will be shown clearly before a booking is confirmed. We are keeping the model simple and transparent.

Is there a fee for customers?

Joining early access is free. Any customer fees for future bookings will be shown upfront before you commit.

Landlords

How does Trady help landlords?

Trady is being designed to help landlords and property managers coordinate maintenance requests, track jobs, and work with vetted tradespeople.

Tradespeople

How can tradespeople join?

Tradespeople can apply through Trady and complete the vetting process before being considered for early platform access.
