What we hold about you

• Your business name, and whether it is a limited company
• A business email address, and the page on your own website where it is published for enquiries, with the date we checked it
• A business phone number, where one is published
• Your Companies House record where your business is registered there
• Whether you have asked us not to contact you, and when

We do not hold anything about you beyond this.

Where we got it

From public sources: Companies House and the business's own website. We did not buy your details and we did not get them from a third-party list.

Why we are using it

To tell you about Get Trady, a London trades platform, and to ask whether you want to be part of it.

Our lawful basis

Legitimate interests — ours in finding tradespeople who may want the platform, and arguably yours in hearing about it. We have carried out a legitimate interests assessment and you can ask us for it.

Where our records identify a named person rather than a business, the same basis applies and the same rights below are yours.

How long we keep it

• If you tell us to stop: we keep your contact details indefinitely, on a do-not-contact list, and nothing else. We keep them precisely so we do not contact you again.
• If you do not respond: we delete your details 12 months after we first contacted you.
• If you join Get Trady: your details move to your account and the platform's own privacy notice applies.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of what we hold, correct it, delete it, or restrict what we do with it. You can ask us to send it to you or someone else in a portable form.

You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing. That means if you tell us to stop, we stop — there is no balancing test and no circumstance in which we can carry on. We act on it the moment we receive it, not when it is reviewed or approved.

Complaining

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office — ico.org.uk, or 0303 123 1113. You can complain to the ICO without coming to us first, though we would rather have the chance to put it right.

Automated decisions

We do not make any automated decisions about you and we do not profile you.

Changes

If we change this notice we will change the version number and the date. The version in force when we contacted you is the one that applies to that contact.
