What “Vetted” Actually Means
We don't just ask tradespeople if they're qualified. We verify every single claim with the bodies that issued the credentials.
Identity Verified
We verify government-issued photo ID (passport or driving licence) using digital identity verification software. This confirms the person applying is who they say they are.
Right to Work Confirmed
We check that every worker has the legal right to work in the UK, in compliance with Immigration Rules. This includes British citizens, EU nationals with settled status, and visa holders.
Qualifications Checked
Trade-specific qualifications are verified directly with issuing bodies. Gas engineers must be Gas Safe registered. Electricians must hold NICEIC or NAPIT approval. Other trades submit certificates which we authenticate.
Insurance Confirmed
All workers must hold minimum £1m public liability insurance. We verify the certificate, the insurer, the policy number, and the expiry date. We re-check 30 days before expiry.
DBS Cleared
All workers hold an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate. We verify the certificate number through the official government checking service and check against the DBS Update Service where registered.
References Checked
Every applicant provides a minimum of 3 customer references. Our team calls each reference, asks standardised questions about work quality, reliability, and conduct, and records the responses.
Ongoing Monitoring
Vetting doesn't stop at approval. We monitor review scores, flag complaint patterns, re-verify insurance and DBS annually, and conduct random quality spot-checks. Workers who fall below our standards are suspended immediately.
