The tradesperson has damaged my property. How is this handled?
Property damage is covered by the tradesperson's £1M Public Liability insurance (£2M for Tier 4 jobs). The claim is against their insurance, not against Trady.
Here's what to do: take timestamped photos immediately, report the damage to the tradesperson through Trady messaging, and raise a dispute on Trady marking it as a property damage claim. We'll then provide you with: the tradesperson's insurance certificate, the insurer's claims contact, and a written summary of the booking to support your claim.
We hold the escrow funds for the job pending the outcome of the insurance claim.
