Posting a job
What information should I include when posting a job?
The clearer your post, the better your matches. Three things help most:
What needs doing — be specific. "Replace the broken extractor fan in the bathroom" beats "bathroom issue". For Application jobs, this is what the tradesperson will quote against, so detail saves you back-and-forth later.
Photos — they help a lot, especially for anything not-obvious. A photo of your existing kitchen tap tells a plumber more than three paragraphs of description.
Access and timing — when you'd like the work done, how the tradesperson can reach you to confirm, and whether anyone needs to be at the property.
If you're not sure about a detail, post anyway. You can message back and forth with the tradesperson through Trady before the work starts.
